i tried that
the whole thirty

What is the deal with everyone trying this whole thirty diet you ask? Well, I did some *ahem* googling and here is what I tried.

vegetables

Ok, so this isn't a comprehensive list or anything like that and it isn't any kind of weight loss or medical advice. Actually, this is just information I gathered when collecting information for myself. And for full disclosure, I didn't succeed in this venture. It lasted all of 4 days, but hey, I tried it.

This is what you can eat:

  • Veggies - including potatoes
  • Fruit - even bananas
  • Seafood - fish, oysters, shrimp, mussels
  • Unprocessed meats - chicken, beef, and pork
  • Eggs
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Olive oil and coconut oil
  • Black coffee - {sad face}

And this is what you cannot eat:

  • Fried potatoes - really anything fried
  • Additives - like MSG or sulfites (from hotdogs and such)
  • Any added sugar
  • Dairy
  • Grain - corn, wheat rice
  • Pasta
  • Bread
  • Dairy
  • Alcohol

The thing about The Whole Thirty is commitment. And I don't know about you, but there is dairy in everything I eat. Either that or I just really like the things that are off limits. In reality July was the wrong month to start something like this. I mean isn't it like the law that you have to eat hot dogs on the 4th of July? I think this is something that could work. But the trick with this is preparation. And I did not prepare.

Have you ever followed an eating plan? Tell me about it. Are there any eating plans that have been great for you? Because I might try that.
